    Special Message from our President

Dear Friends of New Hope Madera,

I hope that all is well with you and that this message finds you in good health and spirits. The team and ministry of New Hope Madera has some great news that we need to share with you that will once again begin to positively influence the lives of young men in Madera.

As you know, we have been without an executive director since the tragic death of Brent Harlow in October of 2008. Since that time, the New Hope Madera Board of Directors has been carefully and prayerfully seeking a replacement for Brent. We had an opportunity to interview several people and consider others during the last 14 months or so. We are thankful that God opened the door and as of December 1, 2009, we hired a new executive director on board by the name of Javier Castro.

Javier grew up in Madera and attended local schools. Javier is married with two beautiful children. He has been involved in private business enterprises as well as ministry at his church and other locations, and really has a heart for the New Hope ministry. During the past several months Javier has been laying the foundation for the “re-start” of the New Hope ministry by contacting businesses and others in the community, as well as becoming familiar with the ministry itself. We will soon be inviting our first young men to begin the New Hope gangs to jobs program.

I’m sure you will be hearing a lot from New Hope in the near and far term. If you have any questions about New Hope our would simply like to introduce yourself, please contact Javier at 559-246-8059.

    Sincerely,

    Robert Poythress

President of the Board of Directors

    New Hope Madera
